Google Search for “Current Famines” Fails to Show Relevant Results
There is no doubt that the biggest famine today (July 14, 2024) is in Sudan. But you wouldn’t know that from a search in Google for current famines.
The 1st organic result is from the World Food Programme (WFP) which mentions South Sudan among many other countries. Palestine is also mentioned even though there is no famine there according to the UN IPC May 2024 Report published on June 4. If the anti-semitic UN reports there is no famine in Gaza – you can rely on them.
Google Search Results for Current Famine is not accurate. Highlights Gaza where there is no famine at all
If you go to the WFP website “Hunger in Gaza” is one of the three featured articles. I guess they haven’t heard that the UN declared there is no famine.
The WFP Highlights the Lie of the Gaza Famine
If you look at the first result for the “People also ask” feature the question is: What country has a famine right now?
The result is the European Union website where the Google snippet says that “The current situation in Gaza accounts for 80 percent of those facing imminent famine, along with South Sudan, Burkina Faso, Somalia and Mali.”
This is a very misleading snippet. It mentions Gaza as 80% of those facing imminent famine. And only at the end of the sentence, does it mention the other countries. Very strange sentence structure used to focus on Gaza.
In any case, we now know there is no famine in Gaza.
It is no secret that the EU and many non-profits are anti-Israel and anti-semitic. But why doesn’t Google feature the updated UN IPC report? All they show is the older inaccurate report from May, 2024.
UN IPC Reports There is No Gaza Famine
The 2nd and 3rd page results in Google don’t show the UN IPC report either. It is very successfully buried somewhere – it at all.Google needs to review its Gaza famine results if it does not want to be accused of contributing to blood libels against the Jewish state.
When reading the actual report it is obvious that the UN is not comfortable with the reports conclusion that there is no famine. They try to cover their faulty projections of famine in Gaza by saying that more aid was let in.
But the truth is that the UN has been talking up Gaza famine for months. This is not surprising due to its anti-Israel bias. But we were surprised that Google also serves biased untrue reports about the Gaza famine.
The UN Famine Report is obviously uncomfortable with the fact that there is no famine in Gaza - as they predicted.
